About The Position

Fleet Maintenance Technician at Ditch Witch: This position will work primarily on material handling equipment. What Will You Do? Safely operate various equipment, powered and manual, to maintain the company equipment. Utilize good mechanical skills. Help maintain company equipment of all types. Be willing to work overtime as needed. Meet or exceed quality and safety expectations. What Do You Need? Fleet Maintenance Technician I, 0-3 years of relevant experience. Fleet Maintenance Technician II, 3 plus years of relevant experience. Demonstrate appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills. Be able to regularly handle items weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally handle items weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Have a good work record, including indications of strong self-motivation, reliable attendance, attention to quality, ability to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperative personality. Keep and maintain a good driving record. Have good observational and problem recognition skills. Work Environment: Manufacturing plant conditions (indoors, with variable temperature and humidity, noise, and dirt). Use of personal protective equipment including safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection. Physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, pressurized gases and liquids, sharp objects, falling objects, moving machinery, electrical arc-welding equipment, and materials handling. Working with hazardous materials, including fuels, solvents, oils, grease, paints, cleaners, and pressurized gases and fluids. Multiple, extremely variable, and rapidly changing objectives and priorities. A high level of teamwork and cooperation with supervisors and co-workers.
