About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Fleet Manager, the Tech III is responsible for performing automotive service repairs while ensuring high customer satisfaction levels are achieved. The Tech may perform tire and wheel related services, change automotive fluids, and maintain cleaning and maintenance in the service department, exterior of building and tire racks. Additionally, the Tech inspects, diagnoses, and makes major and minor mechanical repairs to all types of city vehicles and equipment including field repairs. This position also involves performing preventive maintenance inspections and correcting deficiencies. It is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing, complying with federal regulations where marijuana remains illegal. Should a safety sensitive position test positive on a drug test, the City of Claremore will implement a zero tolerance policy resulting in immediate termination.
