About The Position

The Fleet Maintenance position in Potosi, MO is responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining all company diesel trucks and trailers. The role involves ensuring that all vehicles are in proper operating condition through various inspections and repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum Job-Specific Experience: 3-5 years.
• Driver's License Required: Must have clean driving record with at least a Class F License. Class B would be beneficial but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
• Use handtools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
• Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
• Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Repair and maintain company trailers.
• Complete all truck repairs less than complete engine overhauls.
• Embrace Purcell's culture of safety and perform all jobs in a safe manner.
• Maintain standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of maintenance shed.
• Protect company assets.
• Regular attendance in accordance with assigned schedule.
• Ability to perform physical requirements as listed in job description.
• Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management.
