About The Position
The City of Turlock is seeking applicants for the position of Fleet Maintenance Mechanic I. Fleet Maintenance Mechanic I will perform semi-skilled and skilled journey level work in the mechanical repair and maintenance of light and heavy gasoline and diesel driven automotive and other mechanical equipment. This classification is assigned to the Miscellaneous bargaining unit for labor relations purposes and is subject to overtime, call-back and standby assignments, and shift work. An eligibility list will be established from this recruitment that will be valid for six (6) months. All employees serve a one (1) year probationary period.
