About The Position

The Fleet Maintenance 2nd Shift Supervisor position in Fort Worth, TX involves supervising and providing direct leadership for fleet maintenance technicians in a maintenance shop. The supervisor will manage workflow, assign tasks, and oversee the day-to-day operations of employees in the maintenance shop. This role includes coordinating and supervising all maintenance work and repairs, monitoring progress and quality, and performing mechanical duties as needed. The supervisor will also review driver repairs and other maintenance requests, prepare work order documents, monitor inventory of replacement parts, and restock as necessary. Additionally, the supervisor will oversee personnel, including coaching, training, evaluating employee performance, and conducting disciplinary actions as needed. The position requires providing input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations, and creating and submitting reports as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in fleet maintenance repair (in addition to education requirement).
  • 1 year of leadership/supervisory experience.
