About the position
The Fleet Field Test Lab Technician Helper will be an entry level position. The main responsibilities of this job will be to assist the lead technician in updating our inventory of rubber goods located on our company trucks in various locations and in multiple states. They will also be responsible for assisting the lead technician in die-electric testing of company aerial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead technician in updating inventory of rubber goods on company trucks.
- Assist in die-electric testing of company aerial equipment.
- Work safely while performing dielectric tests and changing out PPE in the field.
- Work safely while testing PPE in house.
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working conditions.
- Perform all other related work as required to complete the job.
Requirements
- Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
- Able to climb up on the trucks.
- Understands proper use of company radio.
- Understands operation of heavy equipment.
- Understands the proper use and maintenance of hand tools.
- Capable of receiving and following directions.
- Possess a basic knowledge of materials used in fleet transportation.
- Able to work for extended periods of time in various locations, when required.
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License.
- Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
- Willing to work over-time when requested.
