As a Fleet Dispatcher at U.S. Xpress, you will play a crucial role in providing support to drivers during evening and weekend hours, ensuring that they can deliver loads safely and on time. Your responsibilities will include answering incoming phone calls, live chats, and emails to assist drivers with various issues such as delays, service problems, trailers, payroll, and any other needs they may have. You will be responsible for fueling and routing drivers while promoting their safety, as well as dispatching necessary resources, including drivers, trucks, and trailers, to address immediate issues that arise during their shifts. In this position, you will utilize your critical thinking skills to resolve driver issues and proactively monitor loads to address any problems that may affect scheduled delivery or pickup times. Effective communication with customers, operations drivers, and all levels of leadership is essential, as you will need to inform them of any changes and ensure that load targets are met for on-time delivery. You will also be expected to assist with emergency situations and support company policies to keep drivers rolling safely. The role requires a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work well under pressure and has a true passion for helping drivers. You will be expected to manage various tasks, including ensuring accurate PTAs, providing trailer solutions, planning BPMs and required appointments, and helping drivers manage their home time guidelines. Your proactive approach will contribute to achieving the organization's objectives and maintaining a high level of service for our drivers.
