About The Position

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic B to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in West Dundee, IL. The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices Other duties as assigned At the Reyes Family of Businesses, our Total Rewards Strategy prioritizes the holistic well-being of our employees, and our compensation philosophy embraces diverse factors for fair pay decisions, valuing skills, experience, and the needs of our business. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
