About The Position

Intro/Program Description: Goddard Riverside and Stanley Isaacs are settlement houses that operate multiple sites in NYCHA buildings that provide and host a rich array of multigenerational programs and community activities to meet the needs and aspirations of community members. The sites are highly valued both as locations for our own programs and spaces for activities and programs operated by and co-created with community partners. The Fleet Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the organization’s fleet ensuring the vehicles are in proper working condition and maintained to agency safety standards. Position Summary: Coordinator ensures that these vehicles are safe, clean, well-maintained, and operated in accordance with compliance rules and guidelines. The Fleet Coordinator requires experience in vehicle management, fleet safety, fleet maintenance costs and documentation management. The fleet coordinator assists the fleet manager in overseeing all vehicles, and related assets, including their operations, conditions, external and internal policy compliance, and overall performance. Schedule: Monday to Friday, occasional weekends required. 9am – 5pm. Flexible as needed Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000 Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the agency’s auto insurance guidelines (including at least 1 year as a licensed driver and no suspensions within the last 3 years)
  • Experience working as a fleet coordinator, logistics coordinator or in a similar job role
  • Knowledge of fleet servicing, fleet scheduling, fleet analysis, and operations
  • Ability to assist with minor repairs
  • Computer Skills
  • Experience with to learn Microsoft Office
  • Frequent walking and standing
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Indoors and outdoors; all weathers
  • Work out of multiple offices both uptown and downtown Manhattan locations
  • Able to drive and handle heavy city traffic

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduled maintenance of fleet, ensuring vehicles receive oil changes, inspections, winter condition service, preventative maintenance
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure that they are in good working order
  • Oversee and track vehicle supplies
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance logs
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned and washed routinely, including interior inspections
  • Assist Fleet Manager with obtaining quotes and coordinating major repairs
  • Ensure vehicles are equipped with GPS, Safety Cameras, and Ez-pass devices.
  • Assist with roadside assistance
  • Assist with implementing safety protocols to identify and address potential risks
  • Ensure compliance with the agency’s Drivers Code of Conduct and external policies including the Department of Transportation
  • Other duties as required
