The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four heavy civil construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. Job Summary: The Fleet Compliance Supervisor will ensure all company vehicles and drivers adhere to federal, state, and local regulations with responsibilities in fleet spec and ordering . This Supervisor will provide support to AIS Infrastructure's Equipment Division. The position will adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols. Serve as subject matter expert for all DOT/CSA and hazardous material-related issues and questions. Weekly review of the vehicle mileage report to determine overdue services, data gathering issues, and replacement needs. Spec and place vehicle orders as needed. Regularly review the FMCSA/SAFER websites for any updates and compliance issues. Ensure all preventive maintenance and annual inspections are performed and all repairs are documented and completed in a timely manner. Oversee DOT/FMCSA compliance, ensuring proper permitting, licensing, and registrations. Maintain, audit, and update all vehicle files, including CDLs, medical examiner certificates (medical cards), and annual driving records (MVRs) to ensure readiness for DOT/FMCSA safety audits. Perform other responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in and understanding of federal laws.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Fleet Supervision with USDOT/FMCSA regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices and industry standards.
  • Strong background in vehicle specifications and ordering practices.
  • Proficiency in using fleet maintenance computer software.
  • Proficiency in the US DOT web-based data systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong customer service skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Physical requirements may include bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • The job may involve mental demands such as working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and making quick decisions.
