About The Position
PGL, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Fleet Assistants in our Chicago, Illinois South Shop and North Shop locations. This position is represented by L18007 Union.What We Offer
Requirements
- High School Diploma, HSED, or GED Required
- 1 year of relevant work experience or vehicle mechanic course work towards a certification
- Basic PC skills
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months
Responsibilities
- Perform basic periodic maintenance on a variety of vehicles and work equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on light and medium duty vehicles
- Complete required documentation and enter all maintenance data in a computerized Maintenance Management system
- Coordinate downtime, repairs and return to service with appropriate leadership
- Change and repair tires
- Procure parts from outside vendors to facilitate timely equipment repairs
- Pick up and deliver vehicles as directed
