About The Position

To assist in the fabrication of the parts Maintain production schedule Maintain a safe and clean work area Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance PM’s that are the operator’s responsibility Complete all production and quality documentation Maintain acceptable weld appearance Maintain and operate a mig welder Maintain acceptable production rate within the skill level Make quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and productions expectations

Requirements

  • Demonstrate superior service skill(s) and professionalism in day-to-day dealings with coworkers, setting a good example in attendance and work ethics.

  • Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as ensuring a safe work environment is maintained

  • Able to complete all documents pertaining to the process
  • Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
  • Read a tape measure to within 1/16”
  • A general understanding of common hand tools is preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to read and understand all engineering prints related to the process
  • Able to determine good weld quality during the welding process and make correction as needed
  • Assist in other areas of the shop when needed
  • Maintain the required welder certification within the skill level

Nice To Haves

  • A general understanding of common hand tools is preferred.
