Flat Rigger
About The Position
Quanex is looking for a Flat Rigger to join our team located in Allentown, PA . In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with team members to cut and assemble window screen frames to changing specifications, using a computer-driven measuring device. Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools including tape measure, air drill, and pneumatics saws.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Monitor products constantly to ensure quality standards.
- Maintains the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
- Follows safety procedures and guidelines; and notifies others of existing or potential safety issues.
- Assist in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
- Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
- Thoroughly complete all documentation, such as production reports.
- Assemble various components based on customer specifications and quality standards.
- Thoroughly inspect products for defects or errors.
- Verify size, color, and configuration of production utilizing labeling systems.
