About The Position

Quanex is seeking a Flat Rigger to join their team in Allentown, PA. In this role, the individual will be responsible for collaborating with team members to cut and assemble window screen frames to changing specifications, utilizing a computer-driven measuring device. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use hand tools including tape measure, air drill, and pneumatics saws.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal communication.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor products constantly to ensure quality standards.
  • Maintains the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
  • Follows safety procedures and guidelines; and notifies others of existing or potential safety issues.
  • Assist in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
  • Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
  • Thoroughly complete all documentation, such as production reports.
  • Assemble various components based on customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Thoroughly inspect products for defects or errors.
  • Verify size, color, and configuration of production utilizing labeling systems.
