About The Position

This position is responsible for operating the flat pack machine, and will set up the program, calibrating, and adjusting the machine parameters to produce the desired weights, cuts, and portions. The machine operator will perform regular checks on the resulting meat and portions to determine the machine performance and adjust the machine accordingly to produce product to specifications. The Flat pack Machine operator will ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. The Flat Pack Machine operator will be notifying the supervisor if machinery should require maintenance, all while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Applications will be considered from the following counties: Washington, Benton, and Madison.
  • Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
  • Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
  • Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
