Basic Job Functions:Responsibilities for a Flange Operator include but are not limited to: Obtain GMAW 1G certification Use GMAW process Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed. Read and interpret shop drawings. Perform tasks as directed by the Line Supervisor and/or the Line Group Leader. Understand order processing (shop releases and run orders). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Be able to obtain GMAW 1G certification.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Nice To Haves

  • GMAW experience
  • Possess basic understanding of metal building systems fabrication
