This position is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, Flammability Certification to ensure our products support our customer's needs. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 1 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with standard aviation materials.
  • Prior working experience in the aerospace industry, specifically with aircraft interiors.
  • Prior experience reviewing and approving drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare and give presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite applications and engineering related software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs collaborative engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project.
  • Represents the Flammability Certification team in internal technical design reviews.
  • Compiles FAA certification documentation for submission to commercial aircraft OEM's and regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for the review and approval of design changes from a certification perspective.
  • Performs new design analysis and material recommendations based on data.
  • Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians.
  • Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
  • Participates in defining of engineering approaches and in planning/scheduling work.
