About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Flagging Foreman for our Summit Flagging division! The Flagging Foreman is responsible for supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely and on time. This position is primarily a hands-on role and is responsible for all communications with their specific crew members and management team. Your Foreman Role starts Here if: Are you built to lead? Requirements

  • 2+ Years of Flagging Experience/1+ Year Foreman
  • Strong leadership skills and accountability – exemplify and maintain positive culture.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction best practices, OSHA and ADA guidelines.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain DOT physical for company vehicle use.
  • Team player – treating and encouraging team members with respect.
  • Excellent communication skills. Both verbally & written.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong understanding of equipment and manpower utilization for project sites.
  • Knowledge of necessary PennDot TTC Guidelines is required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience, including email.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours a day and lift 50-60 lbs.
  • Availability to work 10+ hours per day.
  • Availability for on-call emergency hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide morning attendance report to the leadership team.
  • Ensures crews arrive at job sites with the necessary equipment and documentation.
  • Coordinate/Attend morning huddle each day.
  • Responsible for traveling to various job sites throughout the day.
  • Complete the necessary administrative paperwork.
  • Assists Project Manager with scheduling manpower and equipment during daily scheduling meeting.
  • Monitors and controls all site safety and PPE.
  • Assisting with inventory control.
  • Ensures and enforces OSHA/Publication 213 regulations.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of company property including trucks and tools in clean, neat, and organized fashion.
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergency calls on a rotating “on-call” schedule and dispatches crews to the emergency sites.
  • Ensures accident/incident/near miss reports are completed promptly and accurately and submitted to the safety department when needed.
  • Conducts proper corrective actions of team members including documentation and accountability for infractions of company procedures.
  • Complete quarterly/annual performance reviews of direct report and new hires.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to address concerns with employee performance
