A flaggers main responsibility will be the control and flow of traffic around road worksites using warning and detour signs, position traffic cones and barricades, and informing the site crew of any safety hazards. Directs movement of traffic through the site using approved traffic signals. Moves from job site to job site as necessary. Uses a stop and slow paddle and flag, each of which weighs approximately less than 1pound. Comply with all safety and health rules. Reports all injuries no matter how minor to the Foreperson Immediately. Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment. Performs all work from the ground. Working hours are typically a 10-hour day. Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions. All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.
