About The Position
E.K. Services Inc. is hiring for the position of FLAGGER/TRAFFIC CONTROL We are seeking seasonal flaggers for our construction crews this summer season. E.K. Services, Inc. is a woman owned, full-service utility, excavating and paving construction contractor offering commercial and residential services throughout central Pennsylvania and beyond. JOB SUMMARY: A traffic control flagger will control motorist and pedestrian traffic on the job sites. They assist with the daily traffic pattern set-up and removal. Responsible for knowing, understanding and appropriately applying PUB213 Traffic Control Guidelines.
Requirements
- Stamina: Flaggers are on their feet for long periods, often in adverse conditions
- Ability to work as a part of a crew
- Available to work day or night shifts
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Pre-employment Drug Screen Required
Nice To Haves
- Flagger experience preferred.
- Will train motivated individual.
- Required to attend company training/certifications to keep compliance with company expectations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the convenient, safe and orderly movement of vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic
- Set-Up and Remove/Tear-down traffic control patterns as worksite requires
- Maintain clean job site, including materials and tools
- Complies with all PennDOT publication 213 guidelines
- Complies with all company and OSHA mandated safety and health guidelines
- Wears all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Assists as laborer during non-peak or downtime
- Liaison with Sub-Contractors to ensure proper operations
- Performs additional duties as assigned
