About The Position

Branch's Civil Division is actively looking for a hardworking and observant candidate to join as a Flagger on a full-time basis. As a Flagger, you are responsible for directing vehicles around the construction sites, placing barricades, signboards, and traffic cones, and recording the license number of vehicles that disobey rules. To succeed in this job role, you should be able to stand for a long period of time with excellent physical stamina. You should also have an outstanding ability to lead and motivate the team members as and when required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Work experience as a Flagger or a similar position in the construction industry.
  • A professional certification in the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) will be an advantage.
  • A driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of safety and traffic control devices.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Ability to showcase physical fitness.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of traffic rules.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Proficiency in non-verbal communication such as hand signals, signs, and others.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A close eye for details.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the flow of traffic around the construction sites.
  • Closing the lanes in case of emergency and maintenance work.
  • Directing the vehicles as and when required.
  • Setting up traffic cones, and signs around the site.
  • Answering questions about the detours.
  • Contacting team members about the traffic concerns if any.
  • Removing the barricades, traffic cones, and sign boards after completion of work.
  • Maintaining records of vehicles who disobey traffic signs and signals.
  • Informing the Construction Workers regarding any traffic issues.
  • Communicating efficiently with the other Flaggers via hand held devices.
  • Reporting to the Site Supervisor and Law Enforcement Officers.
  • Using hand signals and signs to direct the traffic.
  • Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the company.
