Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Flagger Certification Card
• Relevant work history as a Construction flagger or similar role is preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of operation of telecommunications systems

Responsibilities

• Direct and control traffic flow in and around the construction site following established safety procedures and regulations
• Communicate optimally with drivers, crew, and pedestrians to ensure a clear understanding of traffic patterns and instructions
• Use hand signals, flags, and other signaling devices to guide traffic and ensure safe passage through construction zones
• Adjust traffic control measures as needed to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of vehicles
• Collaborate with construction crew members to coordinate flagging operations with ongoing construction activities
• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, such as cones, signs, and barricades, in accordance with guidelines
• Report any safety hazards, violations, and accidents to supervisors or appropriate personnel
