About The Position

As a Fixed Income Portfolio Advisor, you will be responsible for aiding financial advisors with fixed income portfolios which will include providing actionable fixed income ideas, bond ladder proposals, portfolio reviews, and concisely articulating views on events impacting fixed income markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; a major in finance or economics is preferred
  • 1-3 years of fixed income markets related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and patient in stressful situations and prioritize while under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced customer-centric environment
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills with ability to succinctly convey information
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Bloomberg, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Series 7 and 63 or 66 licenses
  • Advanced Degree or Chartered Financial Analyst designation

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with more senior team members
  • Point person to assist financial advisors with all facets of the fixed income market
  • Basic understanding of markets and policy developments and the impact on fixed income assets
  • Basic ability to synthesize complex events and ideas down to their most salient points
  • Basic ability to analyze absolute and relative credit quality
  • Ability to understand and educate advisors about fixed income technology platforms
  • Promptly respond to trader and financial advisor requests
  • Provide written ideas and commentary to daily and monthly publications

  • The expected salary range for this particular position is $70,000-$130,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
