We're seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in ISG Fixed Income Operations. The role is within the Interest Rate Derivative Trade Support Group (IRD TSG) who are responsible for all interest rate derivatives traded in the Americas. The broader organization provides operational functions in direct support of activity executed by Institutional Sales & Trading to support financial transactions. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.   • Execute processes/functions and/or support process management and project efforts, leveraging knowledge of the systems, markets and instruments that influence the team.
  • Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and contribute to process improvements.
  • Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to contribute to team output.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives, aiding in solution formulation with a focus on timely execution.
  • Responsible for offering the first line of control for the Interest Rate Derivative Trading desk's risk and ensuring that the trade bookings are correctly reflected in both Front and Back Office systems and tie out with the Counterparty via manual and systematic reconciliation processes as well as exception management.
  • Facilitate conversations with stakeholders on risks, their impact and how well they are managed in a clear, timely and structured manner.
  • Being the intermediary between the Trading desk and other infrastructure groups to facilitate breaks and exception resolution as well as root cause analysis.
  • Ability to establish clear goals and priorities, and address non-standard issues within area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Subject matter expertise in business area supported, client requirements, and ability to ensure control is not compromised to comply with client requests.

  • Strong attention to detail due to the nature of the functions which require a high degree of accuracy when dealing with trading orders/transactions.

  • At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
