About The Position
Global Risk and Security (GR&S) at Vanguard plays a crucial role in enabling business strategy, protecting client and Vanguard interests, and fostering a strong risk culture. The Fixed Income Investment Risk Analyst will be responsible for providing investment risk management expertise and analysis across fixed income funds in a global environment. This position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective risk management infrastructure to manage, measure, monitor, and report on aggregate global fixed income investment risk exposures. The analyst will research and evaluate best practices for fixed income investment and business activities to control various risks. This includes researching fixed income investment risk management policies, procedures, limits, and guidelines. The role requires gathering and analyzing data from various fixed income fund management units and providing recommendations for improvement. Additionally, the analyst will develop and implement technology-based tools and metrics, performing statistical data analysis to report, monitor, measure, and manage various aspects of fixed income investment risk exposures. A key aspect of this role is presenting thorough, clear, and insightful analysis to senior leaders, portfolio managers, and traders. The analyst will also develop and implement processes, tools, and techniques to evaluate and validate fixed income investment models, as well as implement ongoing model validation processes. Keeping abreast of current issues in business operations and incorporating changing business needs into risk analysis is essential. The analyst will also participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
