About The Position

EIS is seeking a Fixed Equipment Engineer with strong experience in large static equipment, including pressure vessels, piping systems, exchangers, and heaters. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a refinery or chemical plant, along with knowledge of reliability and maintenance strategies for fixed equipment. This role is responsible for supporting plant reliability, maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and related engineering software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide internal consulting and deliver technical presentations.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound recommendations.
  • Ability to wear and properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE), including hardhat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or in a related functional area.
  • Hands-on experience with large static equipment (vessels, pipes, exchangers, heaters, etc.) required.
  • Knowledge of ASME and API codes (510, 570, 579, etc.) required.
  • Experience with Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Programs preferred.
  • Strong results-driven mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Must be in good standing with DISA and hold a valid TWIC card.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in formulating, implementing, maintaining, and auditing Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Inspection teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues with pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping systems.
  • Provide engineering expertise and maintenance strategies to optimize equipment availability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve plant reliability by identifying and correcting operational reliability opportunities.
  • Develop and update equipment strategies in alignment with client needs and industry standards.
  • Establish and monitor programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques.
  • Perform and review thickness calculations per API 510, API 570, and API 579 – Fitness for Service.
