The Fixed Asset Analyst supports the day to day activities associated with Capital Project Spending and Asset tracking for Hartford HealthCare. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following: Updating and maintaining data in the PeopleSoft applications: Project Costing, Asset Management and Commitment Control. Manage the Capital Project life cycle which includes the creating the projects, loading budgets, researching budget errors, analyzing spending activities for capitalization. Manage the Asset life cycle which includes the creating of assets, preparing reports and analysis, processing depreciation, completing transfers, disposals and adjustments. Month end and year end general accounting financial reporting such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports, analysis and audit schedules. Interact with different levels throughout the organization that may include accountants, financial analysts, procurement staff, developers, architects, production support engineers and all levels of management. Self-motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving, quantitative and computer skills. Committed, effective and supportive team member, able to work flexibly, quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.

  • Manage the Capital Project life cycle which includes creating the projects, loading budgets, researching budget errors, analyzing spending activities for capitalization.
  • Manage the Asset life cycle which includes creating of assets, preparing reports and analysis, processing depreciation, completing transfers, disposals and adjustments.
  • Month end and year end general accounting financial reporting such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports, analysis and audit schedules.
  • Interact with different levels throughout the organization that may include accountants, financial analysts, procurement staff, developers, architects, production support engineers and all levels of management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5 years of solid accounting experience with 2 years of fixed asset experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a proficiency in the other Microsoft Office applications [Word, PowerPoint etc.].
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft [or similar integrated financial systems] preferred.
  • Experience with ASC842 Lease reporting.
  • A strong understanding of the procure to pay process.
