About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to join our growing team in Duluth, GA. Our client is looking for an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong background in managing fixed assets. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate asset records, depreciation schedules, and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the fixed asset subledger, ensuring accuracy and timely recording of asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and retirements.
• Calculate and record monthly depreciation, including review of asset lives and salvage values.
• Reconcile fixed asset balances to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
• Assist with annual physical inventory and tagging of fixed assets.
• Support internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable GAAP standards.
• Partner with operations and procurement to track capital expenditures and project progress.
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the fixed asset function.
