In this role, you will be a critical member within the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Global Compliance organization. The FIU mitigates money laundering and terrorist financing risks to Western Union. This highly visible area is responsible for identifying, escalating and mitigating money laundering risk related activity. The FIU Investigator is mainly tasked with the investigation of complex patterns and trends associated with money laundering and any other potential risks tied to Western Union. You will be responsible for assessing initial referrals and escalations, offering accurate analysis and documentation of suspicious activities, developing suspicious activity reports for the most complicated cases, and making enhanced due diligence decisions. Moreover, you will recommend suitable risk-based business actions concerning Agent and consumer relationships. It is crucial that you can work in an international context and are required to uphold a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, independent and sound judgment, and professionalism, in addition to possessing excellent oral and written communication skills.
