About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join a leading fabrication facility in Catoosa. This direct hire opportunity includes a $500 sign-on bonus after 60 days. The Fitter will be responsible for fitting, aligning, and tack-welding components to assemble header and structural products in accordance with engineering specifications and weld procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fitter in a welding or fabrication environment
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols
• Strong understanding of welding processes and equipment setup
• Proficiency in fitting, aligning, and tack welding components
• Ability to pass all required tests

Responsibilities

• Weld metal parts together to fabricate production components
• Read and interpret blueprints for layout and fabrication
• Fit and weld fabricated and forged components using SMAW, GMAW, and/or GTAW processes
• Position, align, and fit components; tack-weld to secure in position
• Set up welding equipment according to specified material requirements
• Follow all welding procedures and quality standards
• Maintain safe working practices
