About The Position

Valley Craft Industries has immediate openings for Fitters to support our Cabinet Cell welding operations on 1st shift, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM. This role combines light fitting and fabrication support with material handling responsibilities to ensure welders have the parts, materials, and supplies needed to remain productive. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, supporting welding operations, and contributing to production flow.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or material handling experience preferred
  • Forklift experience required (certification preferred or willingness to be trained)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools preferred
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to welding or fabrication environments
  • Basic understanding of shop drawings or part orientation
  • Experience supporting production cells

Responsibilities

  • Fit and align basic components and parts prior to welding
  • Assist with positioning and staging materials at weld booths
  • Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to welders in a timely manner
  • Remove finished parts from weld booths and transport to the next operation
  • Operate forklift to move pallets, racks, and large materials
  • Use hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
  • Ensure welders are stocked with necessary parts, hardware, and consumables
  • Perform basic inspection of parts for obvious defects or damage
  • Maintain organization of material storage and cabinet cell work areas
  • Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
