About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Fitter Welder to join a manufacturing team that assembles and welds pole sections together. The Fitter Welder will perform layout, fit-up, and welding functions in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience
- Minimum 3 years of heavy manufacturing experience
Responsibilities
- Use and read welding measuring devices including squares, levels, and tape measures
- Plan layout, assembly, and welding procedures
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts into position
- Set up and weld using Arc, Gas-Shielded Arc, or Gas Welding equipment
- Assemble parts by bolting when required
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling components
- Operate fabrication equipment such as plate rollers, cutting machines, and cutting torches
- Clean poles and welds as required
- Maintain accountability for tools and equipment provided
- Follow all ISO Quality Program procedures, safety regulations, and environmental policies
