About The Position

Barr -Techs is hiring an Entry to Mid -Level Welder/Fabricator to join our Brownwood, TX shop team. This position is a great opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of experience who wants to sharpen their skills and grow into a lead fabricator or foreman role over time. We’re looking for a motivated individual who values safety, takes pride in their work, and wants to build a long -term career in industrial fabrication. You’ll assist with layout, fitting, and welding projects while learning from experienced welders and fabricators.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of welding or fabrication experience (school or field)
• Basic knowledge of MIG, Stick, or Flux -Core welding processes
• Ability to read simple blueprints or willingness to learn
• Mechanically inclined with a strong work ethic
• Must be safety -conscious, dependable, and eager to learn
• Must be able to pass a background and drug test

Nice To Haves

• Welding certifications or trade school training
• OSHA 10 card (preferred, not required)
• Experience in a shop or industrial environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with layout, cutting, fitting, and assembly of metal components
• Perform MIG and Stick welding under supervision
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Use hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment safely and effectively
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality
• Keep a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety and shop procedures
