As a Fitness Trainer, you will be a high-energy, positive team member helping members achieve fitness goals and build confidence in using equipment. You will run the Planet Fitness group fitness program PE@PF and design simple workout programs for all ages and skill levels. You will create 'raving fans' by delivering excellent customer service, continually engaging and encouraging members on their fitness journey. You will also ensure equipment is maintained, handling minor repairs, and ensuring the club and equipment are super clean.

Requirements

Current National Training Certification (examples but not limited to: ACE; NASM; ISSA; ACSM; NSCA)
Fitness equipment knowledge with ability to demonstrate use of each piece
1-3 years experience in related field that required training or education on health and wellness
Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid
On-time dependability
English language; ability to speak, understand, read and write
Passion for helping others

Nice To Haves

Studies in the field of Kinesiology, Exercise Science or associated field
Bilingual - Spanish helpful

Responsibilities

Help members achieve their fitness goals and build their confidence in using the equipment properly
Run the Planet Fitness group fitness program PE@PF
Design simple workout programs for all ages and skill levels
Create “raving fans” by delivering +1% customer service
Continually engage and encourage members to succeed on their fitness journey
Ensure equipment is maintained, handling minor repairs so equipment is always ready for member use
Ensure the club and equipment is super clean
Design individual workout programs that meet club members fitness levels and that builds their confidence with the use of our equipment
Find new and current members to join in fitness classes
Monitor and promote gym policies and safety practices to ensure commitments are met
Be a leader that is dedicated to self-improvement and personal growth
Be passionate – love what you do
Have fun and invite members to do the same
Help the entire team at the welcome desk checking in members, assisting with tours, member enrollment, and other club responsibilities
