About The Position

Reimbursement available for Nationally Recognized Certified Training Certificate (not required for hire) up to $300 for the certification. If candidate does not have a certification upon hire, they will be hired in as a Member Service Representative, and need to obtain certification within 6 months from hire date. Guardian Voluntary Supplemental Insurance Employer paid Life and AD&D insurance Employee Assistance Program As a Planet Fitness Trainer, you would be: Designing individual exercise programs for each member based on their exercise experience, medical background and personal goals. Develop and implement exercise programs that are safe, effective and appropriate for individuals who are apparently healthy or have medical clearance to exercise. The Fitness Trainer is responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests and ensuring an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience! Requirements
- Continual standing and walking during your shift.
- Continual talking to members and potential members in person and on the phone during your shift.
- Desire and capacity to train at all fitness levels.
- Must be able to lift 45+ pounds.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited certifications such as: NASM, ACSM, ACE, NCSF, NSCA, ISSA and/or WITS (discounts and reimbursement available). If candidate does not have a certification upon hire, they will be hired in as a Member Service Representative, at the Member Service Representatives rate of pay, and need to obtain certification within 6 months from hire date.
- Punctuality and reliability is a must.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service experience preferred.
