This position is about 5 hours a week with room to grow! Current class schedule: M, T, Thr @ 10a-11:30 / Tues @ 2p Senior Living 1:1s and small groups Continuing Education opportunities available Founded in 1998, FOX was the FIRST private practice in the country to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population. The Fitness Specialist opportunity entails the following: Patient continuity: Patients are prescribed exercise programs to maintain functional levels after discharge from rehabilitation services. Requirements
- Must have one of the following: Bachelors in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology; Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred (i.e., ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA); or prior experience as a fitness trainer, with willingness to become a Certified Personal Trainer
- CPR Certification
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred (i.e., ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA)
- Previous experience working with older adults in a proactive and wellness setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Patients are prescribed exercise programs to maintain functional levels after discharge from rehabilitation services.
- Routine travel to patient residences and between Senior Living Communities.
- Expand territory as needed.
- Travel as needed per practice requirements.
