About The Position

About the Fitness Sales Specialist Position We’re seeking a driven and responsible Fitness Sales Specialist to join our sales team. As a Fitness Sales Specialist, you’ll be responsible for generating leads, managing new client relationships, and meeting all required sales targets. To succeed as a Fitness Sales Specialist, you must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to generate and manage leads, and the ability to manage client relationships and accounts while providing clients with the best possible experience. The Fitness Sales Specialist must also have a general understanding of the fitness industry and should be able to identify equipment and their operational baselines. This is helpful when suggesting service or new product ordering to clients. Previous sales experience is also a plus.

Requirements

  • [1+] years experience as a Fitness Sales Specialist or in a similar role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, BA in marketing, business, or related field preferred but not necessary
  • Understanding of essential sales principles
  • Excellent customer service skills with an ability to quickly build rapport with potential customers
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with great persuasion skills
  • Must be able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of computers and computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems

Responsibilities

  • Generate potential sales leads through email, by phone, or in person
  • Stay knowledgeable about products and services to give accurate information to potential clients
  • Market products or services to potential clients
  • Promote certain products as directed
  • Negotiate deals to secure the sale
  • Assist clients with questions and complaints, working to understand their needs
  • Give sales presentations to small and large groups
  • Work alongside other departments, such as marketing, to formulate sales plans
  • Submit orders and take payments
  • Meet or surpass all sales goals
  • Prepare [daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly] reports for management
