About The Position

The Fitness Receptionists are responsible for greeting and providing a variety of services to guests and Beach Club Members. Checking, guests in and giving fitness tours. Exceptional guest service and exceeding guest’s expectations are paramount and part of everything we do at the spa. The Fitmess Receptionist meets and greets Guests showing enthusiasm and willingness to make their stay at the hotel a memorable one. The Fitness Receptionist purpose is to ensure that the level of service provided to the guest is highly individualized and that each guest feels that their comfort and convenience are the principal concerns of The Gasparilla Inn.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Enthusiastic person willing to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Checking guests and members in.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
  • Clean and wiping down equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of gym ex: trash, towels, refilling water, laundry, ect.
  • Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Fitness Center.
  • Ability to focus on guests' needs, remaining calm and courteous.
  • Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
  • Ability to work well under pressure within any given period of time.
  • Ability to focus attention on details.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guests and hotel information.
  • Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Maintain and demonstrate complete knowledge of:
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in Locker Rooms when needed.
  • Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent hotel data.
