About The Position

The Fitness Manager at Crunch Fitness is a leadership role responsible for managing the personal training department, driving operational excellence, and delivering a superior member experience. This position involves business management of trainers, operational management of personal training services, and fostering a positive team culture. The Fitness Manager will also be accountable for achieving financial goals and enhancing client relationships while collaborating with various departments within the club.

Requirements

  • Health club and gym management experience (Required)
  • Certified Trainer (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance
  • Exhibits sales skills focused on attracting new clients and retention
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to create a positive team culture adhering to brand standards
  • Demonstrates leadership capability
  • Possess collaborative social skills and strong desire to interact with members, clients, and staff
  • Manage a high volume of inbound communication
  • Create team accountability through structured timelines and action plans
  • Strong technical skills
  • Ability to hire, train, and direct staff who match the brand
  • Strong active listening skills with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the fitness industry
  • Demonstrated ability for successful team leadership
  • Exercise Science/Sports Management Degree preferred
  • Current national certification, CPR/AED, First Aid required

  • Experience in performance management of trainers

Responsibilities

  • Manage the personal training department and create a supportive team culture.
  • Conduct bi-monthly meetings and manage the PT calendar.
  • Oversee trainers in delivering training services and provide feedback for their development.
  • Collaborate with the Membership Team for personal training sales.
  • Assume Manager on Duty responsibilities in the absence of the GM/AGM.
  • Coach trainers on business and sales strategies.
  • Utilize Datatrak Calendar for scheduling and service delivery management.
  • Generate leads and support trainer development for business success.
  • Achieve monthly and annual financial goals for the department.
  • Manage client relationships and communication with potential leads.
  • Establish and maintain service standards for trainers.
  • Identify and advance key talent within the trainer team.
