We are seeking the right person to join our team as a Fitness Instructor! As a Fitness Instructor with Touchmark, you will enrich lives each day by assisting, monitoring, and instructing residents in the safe and effective use of equipment and weight machines in order to meet their personal fitness goals and needs. Club membership is open to Touchmark residents, as well as adults in the greater community aged 50 and over, and members enjoy a wide range of activities and classes that can positively affect age-related conditions and encourage lifelong health and wellness. All programs are tailored to individual levels of ability, skill, and personal fitness goals. A long list of amenities are also offered, including an indoor heated pool, a group exercise studio, one-on-one personal training, a fully-equipped fitness studio, and a NeuroCom Balance Master system. This role may be structured as full-time or part-time, depending on candidate availability and community needs.

  • Assisting, monitoring, and instructing residents in the safe and effective use of equipment and weight machines in order to meet their personal fitness goals and needs.
  • Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers
  • Current personal training certification through a NCCA accredited organization is required
  • A bachelor’s degree in an exercise science-related discipline
  • Be excellent at handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • At least five years’ experience working as a Certified Personal Trainer or Exercise Physiologist
  • At least five years’ experience working with a mature population
  • Experience instructing group exercise classes in the format their certification is in
  • Experience instructing yoga, both chair & mat
  • A positive, upbeat, and energetic approach to health, wellness, teamwork, and hospitality
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or be willing to obtain upon hire
