About The Position

This is a part-time position responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and daily maintenance of the fitness facility while providing excellent customer service to the PJCC community. This position can serve as an entry-level pathway into the PJCC Personal Trainer position for individuals interested in developing a career in fitness.

Requirements

• At least 18 yrs old
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Able to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Schedule: Evenings, Early Mornings, Weekends (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Interest in fitness, exercise, or wellness required; exercise equipment knowledge preferred.
• Interest in pursuing personal training at PJCC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the fitness facility, including cleaning equipment, fitness areas, vacuuming, and sweeping.
• Ensure equipment and workout areas are orderly, safe, and ready for member use.
• Report all equipment, fitness floor, and gym area issues to the Fitness Coordinator or Fitness Manager.
• Notify members and staff when machines are out of working order or require repair.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service to all members, clients, and guests.
• Supply information and answer questions regarding available equipment and fitness areas.
• Assist members as needed to enhance their overall fitness experience.
• Enforce all rules and policies pertaining to fitness and exercise areas on a consistent basis.
• Help ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all members.
