About The Position

The Fitness Club Membership Director at LA Fitness is a leadership role focused on driving membership sales and ensuring a high-quality experience for club members. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years management or leadership experience with fitness knowledge.
  • Experience working in fitness-related sales.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 45-50 hours per week, including Saturdays until 1 PM.
  • Experience managing and motivating a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and quick problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about growing a career in fitness and health.

Responsibilities

  • Find, hire, and train a top talented team that is fitness-minded and understands how to sell fitness.
  • Set daily goals for yourself and your team to surpass company sales expectations.
  • Assist in all aspects of running a clean and profitable club by collaborating with all managers and team members.
  • Proficiently sell fitness benefits and train sales staff to do the same.
  • Ensure that your team can effectively communicate the benefits of health and fitness.
  • Engage in community outreach and build relationships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Conduct daily 15-minute morning meetings with the Operations Manager, Personal Training Director, and Assistant General Manager to discuss outstanding items and plan daily strategies.
  • Generate new clients and encourage the team to do the same.
  • Create a positive, safe teamwork environment and take responsibility for all club needs.
  • Understand and respect the definition of management as attaining predetermined goals through voluntary cooperation and effort of others.
  • Eager to continue learning about management skills development.
