About The Position

The Fitness Center Monitor is responsible for overseeing the usage and cleanliness of the Fitness Center and the 2nd floor fitness areas. This part-time position is part of the Community Recreation/Sports Center department. The monitor will ensure that students, members, and guests are following the rules and using the equipment safely and appropriately. Duties include monitoring equipment usage, cleaning fitness equipment, laundering fitness towels, performing hourly facility counts, and assisting users with equipment usage. The role requires professionalism and courtesy in addressing general questions from users.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the usage of the Fitness Center and 2nd Floor Fitness Equipment.
• Clean the equipment in the Fitness Center and Indoor Track.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and appropriate equipment usage by students, members, and guests.
• Launder fitness towels as needed.
• Perform hourly facility counts.
• Assist users in understanding how to use the equipment properly.
• Address general questions from users in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
