About The Position

Passionate about fitness and wellness? The Springfield JCC is hiring! We are looking for motivated and energetic fitness professionals to join our team. This is a part time position with weekend availability required - Saturday and Sunday hours of operation are 7-5. This position has a pay range commensurate with education and experience of $15-18 per hour. All employees of the Springfield JCC are responsible for creating relationships with the members, to add value to their membership, and to enhance their sense of belonging with the JCC community. The Fitness Center Attendant supports a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable workout experience for all members and guests. This individual provides excellent customer service and ensures the overall safety, upkeep, and cleanliness of the JCC Fitness Center.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in an emergency situation
• Knowledge of of standard practices in gyms and fitness centers
• Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• High school diploma required.
• Must hold current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Must be 18 years or older

Nice To Haves

• Wellness and recreation experience preferred.
