About The Position

We offer solutions in these key areas: ACTIVITIES, CHORES, NUTRITION, OUTREACH AND WELLNESS. Your Role: As a Fitness Assistant, you’ll be the welcoming face of our fitness center, helping members reach their wellness goals in a safe and supportive environment. You’ll assist with orientations, maintain records, support cleanliness and organization, and help create a positive member experience.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Experience in fitness, wellness, or health-related field
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certified (or ability to obtain and maintain)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with data entry
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Able to handle confidential information appropriately
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to demonstrate exercises and assist with classes
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and moving equipment
• Able to stand or sit for extended periods
• Must be punctual and reliable

Nice To Haves

• Experience with older adults and community-based services a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members; give tours of the facility
• Guide new members through fitness orientations and discuss goals
• Demonstrate proper use of fitness equipment
• Maintain member records and input data into My Senior Center
• Conduct follow-up with new or inactive members
• Support cleanliness and safety throughout the facility
• Assist with volunteer/intern onboarding and mentorship
• Demonstrate and assist in fitness classes as needed
• Attend team and organizational meetings
• Other duties as assigned by the Fitness & Wellness Director or Manager
