About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitness and Aquatics Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fitness and aquatic facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for guest service, and a background in managing recreational or hospitality environments. This role involves coordinating fitness and aquatic programs, ensuring safety standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a resort or recreational setting. The Fitness and Aquatics Manager will play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for guests of all ages.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in hospitality, resort operations, or recreational facility management
  • Strong background in events management and guest services within a resort or similar environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
  • Experience in cash handling and operating point-of-sale systems preferred
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to aquatic environments and lifeguard certifications is highly desirable
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment
  • Prior experience in hospitality or resort settings is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the fitness aquatic facilities, including fitness center and personal training, pools, and related amenities
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance to ensure high standards of service and safety
  • Coordinate and manage fitness and aquatic events, classes, and special programs to enhance guest engagement
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including lifeguard certifications and health codes
  • Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Monitor cleanliness and maintenance of aquatic areas to uphold facility standards
  • Manage cash handling procedures for admissions, rentals, or retail sales related to the aquatic facilities
  • Collaborate with resort management to develop promotional activities and community outreach initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and safety drills
