Full Time Fitness Ambassador
About The Position
Are you full of energy, love helping people, and passionate about fitness? We’re looking for enthusiastic, people-first individuals to join our team as Fitness Ambassadors — the perfect entry-level role to launch your career in the fitness industry! As a Fitness Ambassador, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes every member, supports them on the fitness floor, and helps create a positive, judgment-free environment. You’ll assist with check-ins, answer questions, promote programs, and keep the club clean and safe — all while bringing energy and encouragement to every interaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
- Passion for fitness and helping others; willingness to learn basic training techniques (certification not required but encouraged).
- Must be able to perform and demonstrate a wide range of exercises, including strength, cardio, and flexibility movements.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (often 4–8 hours per shift) while engaging with members on the fitness floor.
- Capability to lift, move, and adjust fitness equipment weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness preferred.
- Passion for fitness and helping others; willingness to learn basic training techniques (certification not required but encouraged).
Responsibilities
- Greet all members with enthusiasm, professionalism, and courtesy.
- Assist with member check-ins, club tours, info calls, account inquiries, and membership updates.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment aligned with the club’s 'Judgement Free Zone' philosophy.
- Engage with members on the fitness floor to provide encouragement and support.
- Promote club programs, personal training services, and special events.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cardio, strength, and functional training equipment (training provided).
- Assist members with proper equipment use and safe techniques.
- Support member retention by building rapport and encouraging positive workout experiences.
- Provide orientation and guidance to new members on basic workout routines and equipment use.
- Facilitates PE@PF fitness programs and assists members with fitness programs through the Planet Fitness App
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment, locker rooms, and high-touch areas.
- Conduct light maintenance checks and promptly report any issues.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and visually appealing club environment.
