About The Position
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking a dynamic individual to work as a Fisheries and Wildlife Biological Scientist II at the Blackwater Fisheries Center. This position involves working in a freshwater fish hatchery production setting, where the candidate will assist with all aspects of the intensive and extensive production of freshwater fish to meet variable annual goals. Responsibilities include pond preparation, management, monitoring, harvesting, and stocking, as well as cleaning and maintaining intensive tanks and raceways. The role requires coordination with hatchery and regional staff and includes routine equipment, building, and facilities maintenance.
