Assist Fisheries Biologists on a wide variety of fisheries management activities and assist with other statewide work as needed. Essential Job Duties Assist with fisheries surveying and monitoring using a multitude of gears (electrofishing, gill netting, trap netting, trawling, etc.) Conduct/assist with habitat management work including aquatic herbicide treatments, aquatic plant propagation and establishment, and fish attractor construction and deployment Assist with fishing events, community conservation work, and outreach events Assist with data entry and processing Maintain and repair fisheries sampling gear and equipment Complete other duties as assigned This position will interact with and support the work of all the Regional Fisheries Biologists and will require the ability to work productively, both independently and as a member of a team. There will also be the opportunities to assist other regional staff with wildlife and forestry related work.
