About The Position
The Fisheries Technician - Advanced position at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) involves a variety of responsibilities related to fish culture and fisheries management. The role is primarily based at the Besadny Anadromous Fisheries Facility in Kewaunee County, where the technician will work with cold water fish species and anadromous brood stocks. The position requires a high level of knowledge in fish management techniques, environmental monitoring, and effective communication skills. The technician will also support the Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay Fisheries Management offices and may act as a lead worker in the absence of the supervisor.
